Mr .Patwardhan is consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist  at the South London Healthcare Trust. Having worked in KEM teaching Hospital and Wadia Maternity Hospital Mumbai, India for eight years, he came to the UK to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology.

His areas of expertise are advanced minimal access surgery, prolapse & urogynaecology and colposcopy. Mr.Patwardhan’s UK training was mainly in the North Thames region.  He worked in  various hospitals including Newham General, Harold Wood, Royal London and Barts and the North Middlesex Hospital before taking up his current position , Queen Elizabeth Hospital is a new site for the Old Greenwich hospital.  Built in 2001, it is very well equipped with all the latest technology.

Recently three hospitals in South London (Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolich, Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup and Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley) have merged to form the largest NHS Trust in the United Kingdom

In addition to general obstetrics and Gynaecology, His special interests are Minimal Access Surgery and Colposcopy.
